I have never liked to go to auditions. No matter how prepared I felt or sure I was that the part was right for me, I was always too nervous to do my best job.
Thankfully, those days are pretty much over. However, now I am on the other end of the audition process. And I must confess, this is a much nicer place to be!
Today I participated in the auditioning of singers and actors for the next production of this year’s Dreamweaver. There were a number of wonderfully talented people
who showed up which makes my job both easier and trickier at the same time.
Who gets which role? Who will be the best as a solo act? Who will contribute more to the show as an ensemble member?
