I finally did something that I have been wanting to do for years. I played for a group of senior citizens. Well, actually, it wasn’t just me. It was a former student and now friend of mine and we both went. We played guitars and sang for about a dozen or so very grateful folks. One lady clapped along and cheered softly at the end of each song. Another one, who sat right beside me in ‘her’ chair, rocked back and forth smiling. She was also not shy in letting me know that I nearly bopped her in the head with my guitar!! Such a good sense of humor. My friend and I got to work out some new songs and everyone seemed to enjoy our performance. It was a win win all the way around. Looking forward to going back and doing it again!
